Definition of Program :

Banks and Insurances are the most important financial institutions of modern free market economies. In addition to providing a large number of services in their respective fields, these institutions have social functions due to the financing required by the firms. Our department consists of two areas: banking and insurance. Banks are basically institutions that collect deposits and lend. In addition, they also carry out such tasks as making remittances, issuing letters of guarantee, opening letters of credit and providing foreign trade financing, conducting foreign exchange transactions and managing portfolios. Today, banks have begun trading such as options, swaps and futures. Banks are divided into different types such as trade, investment and development banks according to their work. We know that international banking has a very important role in the globalization process. The banker is a professional person who has knowledge and expertise about these transactions. Insurance institutions provide insurance to their customers in many different areas: health, life, traffic, earthquake, agriculture, natural disaster, accident etc. in our daily lives. as well as many types of insurance. Since insurance companies operate in a hierarchical order on an international level with reinsurance practice, they also have international dimensions. The insurer is a professional person who has knowledge and expertise about all insurance transactions and services. There are common courses for both banking and insurance in our department's curriculum.
