Vision :

To raise vocational staff who are advisable to the international vocation standarts by providing resources which can compete in universal education and researches, developing an education image which can easily adapt to the continuouly changinging conditions and to become a preferred constitution by service industry.

Mission :

The programme percieves it as a mission to raise vocational personel who are sincerely bound to the Atatürks principles and revolutions and who has national and universal identity awareness, has assimilated democracy culture and has vocational adequacy, bound to the ethic values,researcher, productive, problem solving and who are looking for perfection to meet our countrys need for qualified staff at the highest level to serve the society in the best way.

Purpose :

The aim of the programme is to raise fellows to work in the field of tourism and in order to do so to donate the students with all the substructure knowledge and let them start their working career with those knowledge. During education, the studens are provided with the foreign language in a great amount which is the main constituent of the tourism sector. They have studied English 4 hours a week in 2 years( 4 half terms) and German as a second foreign language. Especially in the second year they have taken vocational lessons on travel agency( being a tour operator and travel agent, Ticketing, Automatic Reservation and Ticketing, Marketing at the Travel Agencies?). Students completing the first years education do their 60 working day and 12 weeks vocational training mostly in summer and therefore they combine their theoretical knowledge with practice.

Definition of Program :

This programme aims to bring up fellows and vocational staff for tourism and travel sector who can take ge in the process of serving and production and who can run a business in the name of himself/herself.

Admission and Registration Requirements :

The programme accept the following department students of the vocational high schools: Accomadation and Food Technology, Cookery, Nutriment Tecnhnology-Institution Nutrition, Nutriment Tecnhnology-Pastry, Nutriment and House Management, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Hotel Business and Tourism, Pastry Making, Reception, Servicing, Tourism, Marine Tourism, Travel Acency, Animation, being host and hostess, Tour Operator, Hotel Business and Management. These students will benefit from the right to enroll without having an exam while the other high school gradates will be put into our school according to the university exam result paper which is point-(TYT).

Recognition of Previous Education :

The students who registered to the programme can the first class. Meanwhile, the students who come from other universities can exempt from the lessons that they had already studied.

Graduation Requirements :

The students of the Department of Tourism-Travel and Entertaintment Services can graduate from this programme provided that they have fulfilled the following graduation conditions completely. Otherwise it can lead to a repitition of the previous year. For an associate degree, to be successful from all the lessons with at least 2.00 average, to have had a vocational training at Group A or Group B Travel Agencies for 60 working days/ 12 weeks, to have been completed 60 AKTS.

Assessment and Evaluation Regulations :

 In this programme, the students have been put at least one mid-term exam and period-end exam for each lesson to be able to be successful from a lesson. The effect of the mid-term exam to the success grade is %40, and the period-end exam is %60.

Employment Oppurtunities :

The Graduates can find a job at the Group A, B and C Travel Agencies. Our graduates have the chance to move up the highest degrees of work from the bottom. There are also some graduates who run their own business.

Access to Further Studies :

Students who have completed associate degree programme can move over to the 4-year Faculties and Higher Education by entering DGS exam. Then these students will be exempted from the lessons that they had already studied in the associate programme by the other school.
