Our Conservatory was established on 16.03.1991, and in 1993, the Department of Performing Arts Department of Theater and Turkish Music Departments started education activities. The name of the Department of Music, which was opened on 16.03.1991, was changed to the Department of Traditional Turkish Music in 2006. In 1991, the Department of Turkish Art Music was opened in the Department of Traditional Turkish Music, and in 2006 the Department of Turkish Folk Music and Turkish Folk Dances was opened.
The vision of the Traditional Turkish Music program, education, performance and research at the national and international level, respectable both in terms of students and academic staff, the performance and researches put forward by the Turkish Music, the light of the theoretical and performance aspects of the proposed solutions to problems in the field, to be a program open to development, educating artist / performer and academician candidates, and improving interdisciplinary communication and cooperation at national and international level.
Within the scope of Traditional Turkish Music program, by developing its cooperation with national and international education and performance institutions in the fields of Turkish Art Music and Turkish Folk Music, to train vocal / instrumental artists, educators and academician candidates in need of our country, and to provide education-training program, artists / performers and researchers is to take it further in the light of the studies it has put forward.
The aim of the undergraduate programs of Traditional Turkish Music is to educate the artists / performers and academicians who are able to represent the performers of sound and instrumental music at the national and / or international level in terms of performance and performance, which can exhibit Turkish Art Music and Turkish Folk Music within the framework of traditional rules and patterns. to gain intellectual knowledge and execution equipment.
To educate the artist / performer and academician candidate who can represent the Turkish folk music and Turkish folk music at the national and / or international level in terms of sound and instrumental performances that can perform in the most appropriate way within the framework of traditional rules and patterns, and to have the knowledge and skills of other music. to gain intellectual knowledge on the species.
After the base points to be taken each year by the University of Selcuk University, the students will be able to pre-register for Dilek Sabanci State Conservatory student affairs, and then special talent exams for Turkish Art Music and Turkish Folk Music Departments are accepted. Candidates who are successful in these special talent exams determined by the directive are registered as undergraduate students according to the registration requirements.
Depending on the relevant regulations and decisions of the board, students' prior learning courses may be recognized as exemption or equivalent.
In order for a student to graduate from the program in which she is registered, she must have taken and succeeded in all courses in the program and the graduation weighted grade point average must be at least 2.00.
The courses in the program are evaluated and evaluated by midterm, final and make-up exams according to the relevant regulation principles within the framework of the specific evaluation criteria of each course.
Students who graduate from this program, the objectives and the choir depends on the Culture and Tourism Ministry in line with the work, the National Education due to their educational institutions Ministry, TRT Turkey Radio and Television Corporation staff, Turkish Music Education of the University and can be employed in various arts and educational institutions related fields.
Upon successful completion of this program, students can pursue graduate studies at other universities in our country in line with their aims and studies.
