About :

Our faculty was established on December 12 1999 in order to raise the level of cultural and artistic values of Konya and our country to the level of contemporary ones and meet the need for qualified personnel in this field. Students began to be received to the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts and Ceramics in the academic year of 2001-2002, to the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in the academic year of 2003-2004, to the Department of Painting in the academic year of 2007-2008, and to the Departments of Sculpture and Graphics Design in the academic year of 2008-2009. the studens were taken to the Department of Industrial Design in the academic year of 2013-2014. Photography is also now but it has not begun to receive students yet. Our faculty conducts its academic endeavors with 8 Professors, 13 Associate Professors, 6 Assistant Professors, 15 Instructors and 16 Research Assistants. The premises of the Fine Arts Faculty, which are among the most modern and purpose-built in the country, have an area of 14 900 square meters and consist of 5 blocks. It contains 70 office rooms for the academic personnel, 48 workshops, 1 conference hall and 1 cafeteria...

Our mission is to preserve, develop, promote and represent Turkish Art at the highest level by raising scientists and artists who can add different perspectives to science and art using the universal language of art in the light of scientific, artistic and cultural developments on a national and international level, who, at the same time, have adopted the deep-rooted Turkish culture, who are sharing, participating and self-sacrificing, who have internalized an artistic identity, who can combine past experiences with modern facilities, who are enterprising, versatile, consistent, stable, inquisitive, competent and adhere to Ataturks understanding of nationalism...
