With the Public Financial Management and Control Law No. 5018, which regulates the structure and functioning of public financial management, the new public financial management is regulated on the basis of management responsibility. Article 63 of the Law defines internal audit as an independent, objective assurance and advisory activity to evaluate and guide whether resources are managed on the basis of economics, effectiveness and efficiency in order to add value and improve the work of the public administration. These activities will be carried out in a systematic, continuous and disciplined manner and in accordance with generally accepted standards in order to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, management and control processes of the administrations' management and control structures and financial transactions. The Internal Audit Unit was established directly under the Rectorate.
Our Mission In order to ensure that the activities of the University are carried out in accordance with the legislation, the use of its resources economically, effectively and efficiently, the risk management, internal control system and transaction processes are processed effectively, the financial information and management information is obtained fully, accurately and on time, and the resources are protected. and within the framework of the risk-based audit plans and programs of its activities, with a systematic, continuous and disciplined approach, in accordance with national and international internal audit standards and to provide consultancy services to the administration.
