Vision :

As Foreign Trade Programme, our vision is to  a structure constantly renewing and developing itself both in academic terms and in administrative and technological terms within the framework of the developments occurring, particularly economical and technological developments, both in the worlds economy and our countrys economy in the century we are living in. Setting off from this point, our objective is to provide our students with the inseparable items of this through the agency of the lecturers to our students, and rendering them preferable by raising them so that they are able to represent our university successfully in the business world, in command of at least one foreign language, equipped with contemporary information.

Mission :

Conducting researches, determinations and obtainments with respect to regulations, platform, materials suitable for training and education, trainers, programmes, plans, criteria, follow-ups, internship opportunities, consultancies, post-graduation business opportunities, by analyzing the matters concerning Foreign Trade. 

Purpose :

Raising foreign trade intermediate staff who have assimilated the concepts pertaining to their field, are able to contribute to the foreign trade movement of our countrys firms that exist in the dense environment brought about by the globalization phenomenon or orienting towards the potential foreign markets, able to think globally and to act locally, equipped with practicable knowledge and ss in foreign trade matters, and able to carry out operations in multinational environments.

Definition of Program :

The Foreign Trade programme aims to raise intermediate staff qualified in the topics of import-export foreign exchange. The objective of foreign trade programme is also to raise the vocational staff to practice in the field of import and export. 

Admission and Registration Requirements :

Selection and Placement Center (OSYM) made by the Transition to Higher Education Examination (YGS) are based on the results.

Recognition of Previous Education :

Being able to perform the respective procedures in Foreign Trade by adding the information leant in vocational field to the information gained in secondary education. 

Graduation Requirements :

Participants are required to complete all the courses corresponding to 120 ACTS in total, which are available in the Foreign Trade Programme, and also to complete the internship for 30 workdays to graduate. 

Assessment and Evaluation Regulations :

In accordance with the Education and Exam Regulation of Selçuk University, receiving pass grade from intermediate and general exams subject to the content of each course. 

Employment Oppurtunities :

Participants may take part at import-export departments of the Public and Private Sector, foreign exchange and foreign trade departments of banking and similar finance institutions, foreign trade departments of marine-air-land-railway agencies, all agencies and institutions involved in foreign trade, in addition, as being more qualified and more equipped with the knowledge they gain on foreign trade and other topics, they can be entrepreneurs who can catch the opportunity to  business directly through domestic-foreign and e-commerce.

Access to Further Studies :

When foreign trade associate programme graduates achieve in the Vertical Transfer Exam ed by ÖSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center), they can do vertical transfer to undergraduate programmes of Banking, Banking and Finance, Banking and Financing, Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Economy, Economics, Business Management, Business Information Management, Business-Economics, Capital Market, International Finance, International Business Management, International Trade, International Trade and Business Management.
