About :

Civil Defense and Firefighting Program aims to train individuals who are competent and competent in the field of civil defense and firefighting to meet the needs of both the industrial organizations of our country and the fire brigades. This program is of great importance in the organization of the infrastructure, industry and educational institutions required for sustainable education and training in the field of civil defense and firefighting. The program covers fire prevention, fire protection, fire extinguishing and all effects after fire, search, rescue and first aid activities in natural disasters other than fire. Under these basic structures, it is aimed that the program will work in coordination with many different disciplines such as insurance, pre- and post-fire building repair and maintenance. In our country; When geographical, meteorological, socio-cultural and socio-economic factors are taken into consideration, technical personnel to work within these activities are also needed.

Definition of Program :

In this program, theoretical and practical training is given at two-year associate degree level. Search and Rescue Technician in Emergency Departments of Municipal Firefighters, Search and Rescue Technician in Civil Defense Search and Rescue Unity Directorates, Fire Safety Technician in Hotels and Public Institutions, Fire Technician in Airports and Ports, Equipment Sales and Equipment Production in Firefighting and Fire Safety employees are trained as Fire Safety personnel of Organized Industrial and Industrial Organizations.



Admission and Registration Requirements :

The placement process of the students is carried out by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) through the Student Selection and Placement System (ÖSYS).



Recognition of Previous Education :

Students who register to our university may demand that they be exempted from the courses they have achieved in higher education institutions where they have studied before. For this, they must submit their transcripts and course contents to the relevant unit within the first week of the year they are registered with a petition.



Graduation Requirements :

To have completed 120 ECTS credits from four semesters and to have successfully completed the internship.



Assessment and Evaluation Regulations :

Providing the required grades as a result of midterm and general exam evaluation by evaluating homework, projects and professional practices, if any, in accordance with the content of each course, provided that it is essential to Selçuk University Associate Degree Teaching and Examination Regulations.



Employment Oppurtunities :

Access to Further Studies :

Those who successfully complete the Civil Defense and Firefighting associate degree program can pass to the Social Services undergraduate programs if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam opened by OSYM.
