Private Law is a department that includes doctorate, master's and non-thesis master's programs (LLM) in the field of law and covers graduate programs in accordance with the provisions of SELÇUK UNIVERSITY GRADUATE EDUCATION REGULATIONS.
The vision of the Department of Private Law is to become a prestigious and distinguished department whose programs are preferred at national and international level, in relation with the legal systems of modern countries.
To provide postgraduate specialization in the field of law, to train researchers and scientists who are capable of critical thinking, conduct research on a universal scale and produce projects; to present the produced projects to the service of the society and to develop cooperation with all segments of the society.
The main objective of the Private Law program is to give the lawyers who have graduated from the undergraduate law program the ability to conduct independent scientific research, analyze legal problems from a detailed perspective and develop new ideal legal proposals. It is aimed to provide the students with the “interdisciplinary” point of view, which is necessary for addressing the new legal problems arising in the globalizing world.
The language of the program is Turkish. However, other European languages, including English, German and French, may also be used if students have the request and competence.
