About :
Since the day it was founded, it has been educating students and academicians in all areas of Turkish Art. Our department, which also has master's and doctoral programs, offers postgraduate education in different disciplines of Art History.
These trainings are conducted by five faculty members.
Every year, there are 10 students to graduate programs and 5 students to doctorate programs. These trainings are conducted within the framework of Turkish Islamic Art in Art History, General Art History, Medieval Cultures, Turkish World and Early Christianity and Byzantine Art Department.


Vision :

 Awareness-raising on art students to give scientific thinking ability, vaccination, the cultural heritage sensitivity can detect and identify improvement. Students who have graduated from this program is the final vision, and then they will have ss have performed satisfactorily in both the public and the private sector in any way they need to be in places where they work, particularly researcher is to maintain.
 



Mission :

Especially in Anatolia and the surrounding world, including architectural heritage and the arts that wealth, technological capabilities required in this era, the national and international level that can use sed and equipped Art Historians breeding.



Purpose :

Students, especially in Anatolia to be a wide culture within the framework, History of Art, by offering them training, cultural training and education in cultural assets and information transfer with equipment protection policy as individuals have a culture. In addition, communication, and social aspects of students development of aspects of creativity and team spirit that they are individuals who are in the other one goal of the program.

Definition of Program :

From past to present day art historical history, interpretation and evaluation of knowledge. The Program areas of operation General History of Art, the Turkish and Islamic art history, early Christian and Byzantine art and the Turkish Date World of Archeology and medieval cultures.



Admission and Registration Requirements :
In addition to the general entrance requirements for graduate education determined by our university, there is a requirement to be a graduate of Art History undergraduate and graduate programs.


Recognition of Previous Education :

Recognition of previous learning Turkish higher education institutions has not yet completed the process start is currently being developed. This is why previous busy schedule.recognition of learning has not yet started.



Graduation Requirements :
At least 21 credits and 7 courses are required for graduate program. Then the thesis proposal and work must be completed in front of the jury.
Students who have taken at least one art history master's program for PhD program must pass at least 21 credits in two semesters and pass the proficiency exam after completing the seminar work. Those who pass this exam can proceed to the thesis.


Assessment and Evaluation Regulations :
There is a written exam and homework assignments of 70, and 75 in the doctoral program. (50% of the exam grade, 50% homework evaluation).


Employment Oppurtunities :

Chapter alumni, to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, museums depending on Protection of Cultural Heritage committee, General Directorate of foundations in Turkey, the agency, roads, municipal, etc. public enterprises, the municipalities and the provincial administration of a KUDEB within Public Works on special projects, museums, as academician, formation by taking the training as a teacher in their career and free private sector to work on a multi-institution, although guidance is capable in the field of tourism.



Access to Further Studies :

Selcuk University in the Institute of Social Sciences History of Art and the Turkish and Islamic Arts, Department of Graduate and doctorate programs in March.
