Vision :

The vision of this department is to bring qualified researcher, consultant and manager candidates who have tourism awareness, the best way to recognize and promoteTurkey's history, culture and to the geography, can build good human relations, capable of generating knowledge, transferring the knowledge into practice, solving problem, have social skills, analytical thinking, management and organization knowledge and skills developed, have basic social, national and universal values such as development, knowledge, wisdom, tolerance, courtesy, respect, honesty, justice, leadership and representation ability to tourism industry, society, country and the world.



Mission :

The mission of this department is to produce and develop candidates' social and academic skills through interpreting, developing and applying knowledge and skills focused on the professional and academic knowledge of the travel industry and tourist guidance. In this context, professional and academic environments, practices and opportunities are provided in which candidates can discuss and improve knowledge and the areas in which this information will be applied.



Purpose :

The aim of the department is to produce knowledge mainly related to travel industry and tourist guidance and to train qualified scientists who will apply this knowledge to the tourism and travel sector.

Admission and Registration Requirements :

In order to apply to the department, the candidate is required to graduate from one of the undergraduate programs of Travel Management, Travel Management and Tourism Guidance, Travel Management and Tourism Guidance Teacher, Tourist Guidance, Tourism Guidance and Tourism Management.



Recognition of Previous Education :

In order to apply to the department, the candidate is required to graduate from one of the undergraduate programs of Travel Management, Travel Management and Tourism Guidance, Travel Management and Tourism Guidance Teacher, Tourist Guidance, Tourism Guidance and Tourism Management.



Graduation Requirements :

Master's program with thesis consists of at least seven courses, seminars, specialization courses and thesis work, provided that the total number of credits is not less than 21 credits. Seminar, specialty course and thesis study are non-credit and are evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. Master's program with thesis, not more than 30 ECTS credits including thesis, seminar and other courses taken in one semester; The program consists of a minimum of 120 ECTS credits including application studies (exhibitions, projects, recitals, concerts, representations and similar) and other activities.

The duration of the master's program with thesis is four semesters, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program they are enrolled in, regardless of whether or not they are registered, and the program is completed in a maximum of six semesters.



Assessment and Evaluation Regulations :

Assessment and Evaluation is carried out in accordance with the principles of Selcuk University Graduate Education Regulations.



Access to Further Studies :

Upon successful completion of the Master's degree, candidates can study in doctoral programs provided that they have a valid score from ALES and have sufficient knowledge of English (YDS).
