About :
  1. On April 4, 1994 "Yesterday-Today-Tomorrow the Turkish Arts" symposium was held with the participation of handcrafts experts from Turkey.
  2. In 1996 and 1997, two days a week, calligraphy and painting courses were organized for our university students.
  3. The symposium papers that we made on 04 April 1994 were published in 1997 under the name of “El Sanatları Dergisi” as a gift issue to Ord. Prof. Dr. A. Süheyl Ünver.
  4. In April 2001 the catalog of the exhibition held on 19-21 March 1999 "Reflection of the Art 2000" edition was carried out by the head of the university.
  5. On 19 May 2001, a technical visit was organized with the students of the Department of Handicrafts of the Faculty to study the pottery of Nevşehir-Avanos.
  6. On April 10, 2002, Gazi University Faculty of Literature and Sciences Prof. Dr. H. Örcün Barışta gave a lecture on “Examples from Handicrafts” at Süleyman Demirel Cultural Centre
  7. On May 4-15, 2009, with in partnership with the S.U. Center for Seljuk Studies, II. International Turkish Hand Woven (Textile) Congress and Art Activities were organized and papers were published as a book “in The Memory of Seljuk Carpets”.

Vision :
  1. To examine Turkish Handicrafts in the light of scientific data in a chronological system,
  2. To determine the quality and quantity of Traditional Handicrafts; to practice documentation with various information obtained by drawing, photographing, slide, documenting short and feature documentaries,
  3. To plan the researches in order to ensure the reproduction and repair of the Handicrafts in accordance with the originals and to apply them in workshops and studios.,
  4. To support masters who produce with traditional methods or original products,
  5. To provide engaging in science and cooperation activities in handicraft works,
  6. To give support to graduate studies in the branches of Turkish Handicrafts,
  7. To work to keep alive the Handicrafts that are in danger of extinction.
