With the amendment made by Law No. 6486 in the seventh paragraph of Article 60 of the Law no. 5510;

General health insurance registration procedures are made in case all foreign students studying in our country make written requests to the social security provincial directorate / social security center within three months of the first registration of the schools they are studying.

Students who register for the first time after 29/5/2013, within three months of the first registration date, apply to the social security provincial directorate / social security center in the place where they are studying and apply with the student certificate indicating the first registration date of the schools they study. As of the day following the date of their written request, they have a one-year general health insurance. In this way, foreign national students who are registered as general health insurance must be paid by the general health insurance premium, which is calculated on the basis of 30 days of one third of one-third of the lower limit of daily earnings determined in accordance with Article 82 of the Law.

(For 1/7 / 2014-31 / 12/2014 this amount is 45,36 TL per month)

On the other hand, the general health insurance of the foreign students registered in accordance with the applicable law ends with the reasons stated in this Law.

As of the date of first enrollment in the schools they will be studying, foreign nationals who do not submit a written request within three months to our Institution to become a general health insurance holder shall not be registered with a general health insurance during their education.

For this reason, it is required that the students who want to be universal health insurance from foreign students should make a written request to our Institution within three months following their first registration in their schools;
